DISTRIBUTION LAW & COMPETITION LAW

We assist our clients in drawing up contracts with commercial intermediaries (agency contracts, franchise contracts, distribution and concession agreements, broker agreements….). We advise about these contracts and assist our clients in the context of any disputes related to them. Disputes and differences often arise in the context of the termination of such co-operations, with the question of possible payments, which the former contractual partner might still claim. Our office has a wealth of experience in this area.

Of course, we can also advise about the requirements for pre-contractual information associated with commercial co-operation agreements, and we will do everything necessary in order to prepare the pre-contractual information document.

Our firm assists many companies in organising their distribution network and setting up and (re)structuring commercial networks. We are particularly specialised in the banking and insurance sectors.

The constraints and regulations under competition law that accompany these matters naturally form part of our analysis.

We also regularly assist our clients with disputes, both before the normal courts and with regard to arbitration.

As a firm, we maintain a considerable presence in this field due to our membership of the Belgian Franchise Federation, as speakers at various seminars and via publications.

The language skills present in our office allow us to draw up these contracts in Dutch, French and also English.
